Previously on Desperate Hedgehogs...
Amy finally escaped the Eternal Land of Darkness. Not only that though, now her friend Big the Cat has joined the adventure along with his pet frog Froggy. Amy has also convinced Cream to apologize to her mother, as the whole gang went and slept at Vanilla's house. After a nice morning, all of them will be heading out for Rail Canyon to continue on their quest. What other surprises are going to come though? God knows Amy has already gotten so many surprises.
Shadow found out that he was created by Gerald Robotnik from the big egg himself. Despite this though, Shadow knew there was something off about what Eggman said. Saying how Gerald wanted Shadow to get revenge on the humans. He went through with Rouge's deal and extracted the data from Eggman's computer. But Omega caught him in the act, but Omega decided not to report him, saying that what Eggman was doing to Shadow was punishment enough...
Sonic and Silver still continued to travel together. With Sonic, he got into an argument with Knuckles, who was working himself to death trying to find the Master Emerald pieces. Despite Sonic's reasoning, Knuckles would not listen. Silver meanwhile got in trouble, when Vector angered him so much that Silver almost stoned Vector to death. Now that Silver was arrested by GUN forces though, how will this effect all five of the others who were traveling the world with Silver?

Sonic
He was so confused. Did that literally just happen? Sonic was so confused by the entire situation, but he wanted to know what had happened bad. Who knew Silver had such anger issues. But what exactly was Vector arguing about in the first place?
"Can someone please explain to me what's going on?" Sonic asked.
"What just went on here is because of Vector," Espio suddenly claimed.
Vector's face showed nothing but shock. Was his fellow Chaotix member really taking Silver's side? Vector hoped to talk some sense into Espio. "What are you talking about Espio?" Vector asked. "Did you not see him try to kill me?"
"But that's what you wanted him to do, isn't it?" Espio asked. Espio knew Vector better than anyone else. There was a very good chance he knew what he was talking about, whether Vector wanted that to be true or not.
"What do you mean?" Vector asked. Vector actually knew exactly what Espio was talking about. But not wanting to cause anything that bad to happen to himself, he played dumb.
"You just had to go and do your own thing again, without even a thought of trusting me!" Espio shouted in frustration.
"Hey Espio, did yo umiss the part where the maniac tried to kill me?" Vector asked sounding annoyed.
"Which you provoked him to do in the first place, since what I said wasn't good enough! What kind of agency are we if you can't even listen to your own teammates?"
"I'm the leader of this agency, so I get to decide whether or not to listen to my teammate's advice. And Espio, Silver was too suspicious to keep around. Just because you fell for his little act doesn't mean I have to be dragged down with you!"
"What you don't understand is that I fell for nothing. Silver was on our side, he wanted to stop Eggman and we were going to get paid for our services!"
"Espio, open your eyes! He was about to kill me!"
"Because you provoked him on purpose. If you had just trusted me and acted like this was a team for just one minute, you would NOT have seen Silver resort to such actions!"
"Someone on our side would not have tried to kill me Espio! Why don't you see I only don't take your advice when I'm sure I'm right?"
"Is that everytime I try to say something then? Because I can't remember the last time you EVER took into account what I said. You act like I'm only here to help carry out your ridiculous schemes. I am SICK of being treated like your sidekick!"
"It's only vecayse I know what's best for the team."
"No, you only think you know that because your stuck inside your own damn ego. But in reality, I KNOW you just made a big mistake." Espio then began to run away, seemingly done conversing.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!"
"Cleaning up your mess, then probably leaving this so called team." Then a second later, Espio jumped off the island, and the conflict ended for the time being.
"Vector, do you really think Espio could leave the team?" Charmy asked, sounding a bit worried.
"I.....I don't know," Vector replied sounding speechless. He then turned to Sonic, who was just standing their in shock. "Look Sonic, I'm sorry but we have to go. No worries though, I know you'll be able to handle the doctor by yourself."
Sonic just nodded in return. He didn't want to get into all that drama at the moment. It's not like Vector and Charmy were actually going to help him very much anyway.
Vector nodded back, as he began walking back towards the Mystic Ruins. Charmy realized Vector was leaving and quickly followed. After a minute of two, the two members of the Chaotix Detective Agency were out of sight.
As Sonic watched them disappear into the clouds, a loud yawn suddenly sprung up behind him. He knew exactly who it was coming from.
"Morning Sonic," Knuckles greeted. "Hey, where's Espio, Vector, Charmy, and Silver?"

Shadow
The Space Colony Ark was a spot marked down in history for numerous events. After all, it nearly killed billions of people on the blue planet. None of that really mattered though. What really mattered was what would become of it in the future now that it was just sitting there nothing doing a thing.
Shadow the hedgehog resided here for most of his life. It was morning now, and he had not gotten nearly enough sleep. He couldn't stop thinking though. He sat int he prison room with Rouge for hours on end wondering what Omega had meant.
"Shadow, you should get some sleep," Rouge said.
"How can I sleep?" Shadow asked frustrated. "I want to know exactly what the doctor may be doing to me that's apparently so wrong. Just what could it be?" Shadow then suddenly yawned, he really was as tired as his dead red eyes showed.
"Look, you can't go on for one minute without yawning like a cow," Rouge said annoyed. "Get some actual rest before the doctor has you do some random task or something."
Shadow sighed. "If only Omega had told me more. What if I had been trusting the wrong person this whole time? What if everything the doctor told me has been a lie?"
Rouge symphthized with Shadow suddenly. Before, she had been playing with him like a fiddle, making him do her dirty work. But Rouge suddenly was reminded of how Shadow had effected when he was supposedly dead. She began to think back to that moment.
[Flashback]
Inside the Space Colony Ark, everyone felt a sigh of relief as the world was saved from a crashing research facility by Sonic the Hedgehog. With the surprising assisstance of Shadow the Hedgehog.
"They did it!" Amy shouted in happiness.
"That was a close one," Knuckles said, sighing in relief.
Rouge remained calm, not one to act overemotional. But deep down, she was crying tears of joy. She lived to see another day. Another day to hunt for her precious jewels. She couldn't help but let a smile crawl up to her face.
She patiently awaited the return of her new friend, who she was so proud of for thinking for himself for the first time. She knew all about Shadow thanks to her research, and what she knew couldn't help but touch her because it was very hard for Shadow to do this.
The door slid open and everyone turned their eyes towards them thinking they'll see two hedgehogs. But it runs out, there was only one blue one that looked pretty down. Rouge felt confused and worried all of a sudden.
"Where's Shadow?" Rouge asked.
Sonic shook his head in sorrow, making it very clear what had happened. Shadow didn't make it, which upsetted everyone deeply, especially Rouge.
Sonic suddenlywalked over to Rouge with an unexpected gift. Rouge felt two golden rings suddenly land on her hands, which belonged to the one and only Shadow. She knew that they were for, whuch only made her that much more sad.
"Do you really think that the professor created him, Shadow, to carry out the revenge on all those who lived here on Earth?" Rouge asked, trying to pay her respects.
"He was what he was," Sonic began to answer. "A brave and heroic hedgehog. He gave his life to save this planet. Shadow the Hedgehog."
It didn't surprise Rouge how calm Sonic had sounded. She thought of how sleeping in sorrow was a waste of time. Just focus on the positives like Sonic was. "I guess you're right."
[End Flashback]
It was then Rouge remembered she had something very near and dear important to Shadow. She took the two rings off her wrist. They didn't work on her, but they surely would work on Shadow. "Here, take these," Rouge said as she handed the rings over.
Shadow saw the rings and didn't know what they were at first. But as he looked at them, he saw how familiar they seemed to him. "Are those mine?" Shadow asked.
Rouge nodded. "Five years ago, you took these off to save the world. These rings conserve your energy. Now you won't get tired. You won't have to sleep."
Shadow put the rings on him. They fitted on his wrists perfectly. He then suddenly felt all this energy surging in like wildfire. They were definitely his. "Thank you Rouge."

Amy
Station Square is nice and all, but there was a valley of canyons Amy and her friends had to be heading to. They were on the outskirts of the city, in what seemed to be a plain field. The sun shined and the group was walking on the land where 90% of the fields were grass.
"Rail Canyon is this way?" Big asked.
Tails, who was leading the way with his portable GPS gadget, nodded in return. "This is actually a shortcut towards there not many people take," Tails said. "We'll be there in no time."
"Well then, let's hurry a bit!" Cream said full of enthusiasm. Cheese yelped the usual 'chao' in agreement.
So the whole gang began to move a bit faster, eager to get that Chaos Emerald. Tails was obligated to do this, while Amy wanted to prove to Sonic she could do big things. Hopefully Sonic's approval will amke her feel better, and that she'll finally feel like she's grown up from being that little girl that couldn't do anything useful.
She enjoyed how happy the day seemed to be. After being stuck in that Eternal Land of Darkness, she was definitely appreciating the sunshine and her friends' company.
As the gang was walking, she daydreamed staring into the bright blue sky. She could still remember those times five years ago when everyone was tied together and close. How she, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles had adventures together. Well kind of. She remembered how she barely did much compared to them.
Now there were so many more people in their lives. Amy kind of had her own little trio now with Cream and Big. She still reminicinced about the old times though. She still really missed being in the grand big adventures where the world was going to end.
This was the moment to get into the adventure. The moment to prove that she was a useful asset. The moment to feel like something that was important, instead of just a little annoyance.
"I can't wait to show Sonic that Chaos Emerald when I give it to him!" Amy yelled in a diva like manner.
But Amy heard no response, still daydreaming into the sky. Thinking this was strange, she opened her eyes to see why there was no response. To her surprise, there was no one there.
"Guys?" Amy asked.
She saw no one in front of her. She then turned around, and saw no one was there either. Amy was getting nervous now. No one disappears out of the blue like that unless something really bad had happened.
"If this is a joke, it's not funny!" Amy shouted sounding both scared and annoyed.
She noticed then that her surroundings were getting progressively darker. Amy didn't want more darkness at this point, especially on her own.
It didn't stop when the sky was dark blue like the night sky. It only got darker, as the stars and moom disappeared into the darkness. It only continually got darker and darker, until it resembled a place that was far too familiar to Amy.
The Eternal Land of Darkness.
Amy screamed, crying for help as loud as she could. Was she stuck in this cursed dimension again?

Silver
The questioning room. Silver had heard plenty about these situations. It was socially brutal, and often times made you uncomfortable. With his hands tied together though, he wasn't escaping this place anytime soon.
Two GUN soldiers suddenly entered the room. They had their shades off, but if they had kept them on, they could've passed for twins. Now those facial features set them apart, including the amount of wrinkles.
"So Silver," the older looking soldier on the left said. "We tried to search for your name in the database. You're nowhere to be found."
The soldier had this snarky like tone to him. Silver didn't like it one bit. "I don't appreciate you talking to me like you're so much better then me," Silver complained. "I AM Silver, I'm not from around here."
"Then where are you from? We'll just search in that country's database."
Silver really wished he could've beaten up that GUN soldier. It wouldn't be right though. It's not either of their fault that they're here. No one is at fault here, even though they think that he was at fault.
"I..." Silver couldn't figure out a proper lie. This was the confession room, you're not getting away with any lies in here. Silver just kept his mouth shut.
"Not talking eh?" the GUN soldier asked. "Come on, you can trust us with whatever secret you have, unless you want a harsher sentence! You're already looking at months in prison, you want to make them years? Who are you really? Are you working for Eggman?"
Silver was fed up after heating that accusation. Never had he heard anything more ridiculous than that. "NO, I am DEFINITELY not with him! In fact, I could be closer to stopping him for good but you idiots are fighting the wrong person!"
The soldier just laughed in Silver's face. The wrinkles on his war filled face only standing out even more now. Silver was then provoked to stand up, but then the other soldier ran behind him and sat him right back down.
"Excuse me Silver, but aren't charges being pressed against you for attempted murder? You've got quite the temper you know. You should learn how to control it!" The soldier just wandered around the room, waiting for a response.
"So why were you watching me anyway?" Silver asked. "I mean, how in the world did Vector get you guys to come to us? He must've had some crazy made up reason since I'm pretty sure you lot are busy with a mad scientist lurking around and all."
The soldier's face all of a sudden turned very serious. Silver suddenly felt even more tense, as if he wasn't already tense. The soldier placed a TV on the TV, and quickly activated it. Where was the going?
Silver watched. The setting was in this museum. He sees this jewel in the middle guarded by lasers. Silver's face is suddenly filled with shock because he knew exactly what this was. Suddenly, a white hedgehog jumped into the scene, and broke open the box containing the jewel with his powers. He then took the jewel and flew away. This white hedgehog was him...
"W-where did you get this video?" Silver asked speechless.
"Vector gave us it," the soldier replied. "Do you know why that jewel was so valuable? My father found it. Things like cavemen writing were found on that jewel. There's just millions of years of histories on that jewel. Finding these that'd tell us more of our history was his life. But he was killed because he was protecting this jewel while someone tried to steal it and then sell if off for a ransom. He was caught, but my father didn't deserve that..."
Silver swallowed his saliva. There was no doubt this soldier was his mortal enemy at the moment. "I..."
"Don't say a thing. But if you give me that jewel back, your jail time will be much shorter."
Silver wanted to die right there. He definitely did not want to tell the soldier the real honest answer to the question. But at this point, Silver couldn't lie. "I don't know, I sold it," he answered.
The soldier just looked at Silver was the most bitter expression a human face could've looked. "You know, you can get out of jail when you decide to care about someone else besides yourself." And at that moment, the soldier left the room, leaving Silver to sit in that room to think. The other soldier just stood there, a bit speechless.

Sonic
"That's some story," Knuckles said.
Sonic and Knuckles were standing on a mountain, that was on the edge of Rail Canyon. Such a fine structure. Trains traveled through here all the time and the view was always magnificant.
The orange colored sky made the orange canyon look absolutely stunning. Sonic and Knuckles jumped onto seperate rails, and they began to grind their way into the canyon.
"I knew there was something weird about that guy," Knuckles then said.
"Espio seemed really convinced Silver was on our side though," Sonic said. "Maybe he knows something we all don't."
"I don't see why he wouldn't tell us though if Silver really can be trusted," Knuckles continued.
"Who knows," is all Sonic said to reply. He barely understood the situation but he had to put his curiousity aside and just focus on the plan. Which was to get their hands on that Chaos Emerald.
Sonic was still concerned about Knuckles though. Knuckles didn't get that much sleep. Sonic really wished that Knuckles had just waited til the morning to find the Master Emerald. But no, apparently the echidna doesn't sleep.
"Knuckles, you're feeling okay right?" Sonic asked.
Knuckles was a bit puzzled by what seemed to be a random question. "Yeah I am," he replied. "Why do you ask?"
Sonic decided to be more direct with this question. "It's just that you only slept for two hours Knuckles, and..."
"I'm fine," Knuckles interrupted, sounding very annoyed yet again. "I've spent my whole life sleeping on that island Sonic. I think I can stand a few all nighters."
"I'm just saying you might need all the energy you can get. I'm sure Eggman is goign to send Shadow to sang this one too." Sonic knew Eggman had some emeralds, while he had one. It was no doubt time to get busy.
"So this emerald is just lying somewhere in the canyons?" Knuckles asked.
Sonic nodded in return. "I know it's kind of an odd place but with Eggman in jail, they kind of just took it slow tracking down these emeralds."
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. In the wrong hands, thos emeralds have the power to kill millions of people. They should've searching for them as hard as they could."
Sonic just nodded his head in agreement. He just focused on gridning at the highest of speeds. He always had a blast grinding. Tails really was great with tweaking his shoes.
Speaking of Tails, him not being there was suddenly noticed by Knuckles. He wondered where he had gone. "Hey Sonic, why isn't Tails with you?"
Sonic was then again reminded of that disastorous night. The night when the reality of who he had become finally sunk in. No more doubts, Sonic had become the person no one thought he could become. Sonic just knew Knuckles would be judgemental. Time to make up a story.
Fortunately, yet unfortunately for Sonic, he was interrupted before he could even speak. As the two of them were frinding, they were both attacked from the back and knocked off their rails.
Sonic screamed as he was falling into the canyons. Sonic couldn't fly, so he had better land on something quick. But thankfully for Sonic, Knuckles glided towards him and grabbed onto gim. Then he flided them to a rail as both of them landed on it.
"Thanks Knuckles, what was that?" Sonic asked.
The two of them looked behind and then it become clear who was responsible for that attack. The mysterious figure in a black cloak was behind them, charging for another attack.

Shadow
Amazing. Before, Shadow felt like he was going to pass out. But now, he felt so energized, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead of him. These rings just felt so familar, he wished he could remember more from them, like when he had actually taken them off.
"Shadow, Omega, report to the Eclipse Cannon room immediately!" a mad scientist's voice shouted on the intercom.
What could he want this time? Perhaps it was time to search for another Chaos Emerald. Shadow didn't know whether to follow the doctor's orders or not. Shadow was just going to have to see.
The Eclipse Cannon. The name sounded very familiar to the black hedgehog. But he wondered why. What was the significance of this cannon? Shadow decided to quickly skate there to find out.
The room was dark, but there was the white shiny cannon in the middle to make sure the room was not completely dark. The cannon looked inactive at the moment, but Shadow had a clear image of what it looked like when it was active.
Dr. Eggman stood in front of the controls staring down at them, with Omega behind him. Shadow quickly walked up to the two to join them in what they were doing. "I'm here," Shadow said.
Eggman and Omega then turned around and saw Shadow right in front of them. "Oh Shadow, you're slacking if Omega beat you over here!" Eggman said, followed by the usual evil laugh.
Shadow didn't chuckle, as he was still unsure of what Eggman's been really been up to. He just tried to keep a serious stance. Shadow only wished that he knew what Omega had been pretaining to that created all these suspicious feelings in the first place.
"So why did you call us here?" Shadow asked.
"Alright, so we have four Chaos Emeralds this for," Eggman said. "We need three more to launch my ultimate plan! And I know the location of the last three emeralds."
"Si where are they then?" Shdow asked.
"One is hidden deep in Rail Canyon. Which is an easy ride down with Chaos Control. The other two are in the pocession of Sonic and Tails. I've tracked both their emeralds though and they're both heading to Rail Canyon. Probably getting that last emerald. So thi sis it, you two are getting me all seven emeralds today!"
Shadow couldn't believe all seven emeralds where almost in Eggman's hands. It wasn't long since Shadow was released from that capsule. It was actually less than a week. Eggman sure did move fast. But still, what was the doctor planning?
"What will happen once you obtain the seven Chaos Emeralds?" Shadow asked.
Eggman suddenly smiled in his most devious way possible. Whatever he was planning to do with them obviously pleased him. Very much. "Oh Shadow, I wish I could tell you, but I even want my crew to be surprised when they see what I do! I assure you though, your creator will be very proud when you give me those emeralds. We will make the humans pay for what they did to you."
Shadow no longer knew how to respond to Eggman. All he knew was Eggman was doing something bad to him. But he didn't know what. "I am doing the right thing right? Is this who I am supposed to be?"
Eggman found these questions a bit strange. But nonetheless, he answered quickly. "Yes, it is. You are Shadow the Hedgehog, the ultimate lifeform. Your purpose was originally to help mankind, but once they locked you up for it, your creator wishes for you to help me get those humans to respect him. Make them PAY for what they did to your close relatives. I'm your only family, Shadow."
Shadow just nodded in return. He had decided no matter what Eggman was doing, his creator would have wanted him to do this. It was his new purpose, which he wanted to fulfill.

Amy
Run, run, run. That's all Amy could think of at the moment. Another year of staying in this twisted dimension. That was a big N-O. Amy wasn't going to be stuck in here again, it just couldn't be true.
But she could not find a way out. Left and right, right and left, she couldn't see any traces of that blue orb. Or anything in all honesty.
She tripped on her boots and fell on the hard, cold floor. The water works began to fall quickly out of her eyes. This couldn't be happening to her again. She'd rather be dead in all honesty.
At that second, her eyes really opened up.
Everything was suddenly back to normal. She could see the day was still bright, and fields still shined green. But, she also had the eyes of Cream, Cheese, Big, Froggy, and Tails on her. Looking at her like she was some insane nut.
"Amy, are you okay?" Cream asked sounding horrified.
Amy nodded, feeling very relieved. "What happened?" she asked.
"One minute, you were just looking into the sky, but then suddenly you were running around screaming and crying with your eyes closed," Tails had summarized. Amy could tell Tails was confused, having to summarize such strange behavior.
"Amy Rose, is something wrong?" Big asked, still talking slowly but with a worried tone.
"I'm not sure what happened," Amy said. "One second, I was day dreaming. Next second, everything turned dark and I thought I was back in the Eternal Land of Darkness. That's why I was crying."
Tails' face was very focused at that moment. He was trying to figure out what Amy was experiencing. But you could tell he was having a hard time coming up with an answer. "I'm gonna be honest, I've never heard of what happened to you before Amy, this is completely new," Tails said.
"Ugh, I thought I left that dimension for good!" Amy said angirly.
"Well Amy, maybe it's a side effect from being in that dimension. Maybe it's caused you to imagine being in that dimension when you're really not."
Amy felt very offended by what Tails was saying. But this was because like what Tails was basically calling her. "So you think I'm insane?! I'm not crazy!"
Tails had known Amy would not like his answer. But what else was he supposed to think? He couldn't think of another explanation at the moment. "I know you don't wanna think that's true Amy but what else could be causing this?"
Unfortunately for Amy, Tails had a good point. What else could be causing this? But, she just could not accept the fact that she could be insane. "Well, if I am, I'm sure it'll go away with time. Let's just get going, we need to get that emerald."
Tails wasn't exactly done yet. He didn't think Amy was going to like his idea, but everyone agreed that what Amy just did was absolutely insane. "Are you sure you don't want me to take you to my lab and do an examination Amy? I mean, wouldn't you want a clear answer?"
This only annoyed Amy even more. If anything, she didn't want to be named crazy by Tails' examination process. "NO! We are going to get the Chaos Emerald! And I'm going to be the one to stop Eggman!"
Amy then pushed herself to the front of the pack as Tails, Cream, and Big stared in complete disbelief. There was no getting Amy to change her mind though, so they quickly hurried along.

Silver
The guilty memories were coming back to Silver. Yes, that video was real. He has no idea how they got a hold of it, but it was real. He was so sure he had left behind absolutely no evidence though. Infact, he could've sworn he got rid of that tape. Destroyed it. Burn it up. Whatever made it basically un-watchable.
Silver sat with his head down in his silver jail cell. Maybe he was a bad guy. Maybe he did deserve to be over here. Silver sighed, feeling so awful about everything that had happened today. Why couldn't he just be a good hero? And not make any mistakes?
Silver suddenly heard footsteps coming towards his cell. What could they have possibly wanted now? He was sure they could've been fine with him sitting in this grey boring lifeless cell for the rest of his life.
Surprisingly though, it was a pleasant surprise. He looked up, and saw a familiar purple chameleon. "E-Espio!" Silver said sounding shocked yet happy.
"How are you holding up?" Espio asked.
"Well, one thing's for sure. They have good reasons to put me in here," Silver said, sounding very melancholy.
"It's not fair you're here," Espio said. "Vector admitted to trying to provoke you on purpose and it pissed me off. I'm absolutely done with trying to reason with him. We'll get you out one way or another."
Silver was a bit sad that Espio felt that way, because Silver knew he didn't deserve that. He was not the good guy here. A good guy shouldn't be provoked so easily, or steal from a museum. "Espio, don't say that," Silver argued softly.
"Why not? You're trying to stop Eggmen. Yet people are here trying to stop you from doing that."
"But a hero wouldn't try to kill someone that was innocent...or...."
Espio was intriguied by the use of the word or. "Or? There's a second charge?"
Silver sighed. Espio deserved to know the truth. Being the only one that was always there for him. Hopefully, Silver would still have his only friend after this. "Well Espio, a few years ago in my timeline, I got into some bad crimes just to get the money to survive. Food was scarce, so it was hard to obtain it due to the prices.
"So this guy came up to me and told me if I traveled back in time and stole that legendary jewel, I'd have enough money to live basically the rest of my life."
"...wait you mean you're the one that stole that gem from the Station Square Museum?" Espio asked, sounding shocked.
Silver nodded. "I thought I had destroyed all traces of me being there, but GUN somehow got their hands on a tape that showed me committing the crime. I regret it, I really do. Especially knowng who that guy was now."
"Who was it?" Espio asked.
"Eggmen Nega. That's why I hate him so much, and why he has to die. He can make people like me do the craziest of things. As soon as I discovered he was responsible for Solaris' release, I've been chasing him to this very day."
Espio just stood there speechless. His eyes stayed wide open for the longest time, with his mouth just as wide open. Silver understood this. Espio must've felt so idiotic for fighting with Vector all because of someone he had just met.
"So Espio, I am a bad guy," Silver said. "So I'm just going to let the govenment do their worst. A good guy would never do such crimes."
Espio suddenly reached his hand out and put it on Silver's shoulder. "What matters at the end of the day is that you're here to stop Eggman. You are a good guy Silver, as long as your intentions are good." Espio then left the room, leaving Silver speechless as he watched him leave.

Sonic
It was a fight on rails, literally. As Sonic and Knuckles were fighting this black figure, they were both grinding towards the Chaos Emerald. Before they get there though, this jerk's gotta go.
Sonic gave the figure a homing attack, but no matter how many times he repeated said action, the figure didn't seem to be taking any damage. It was the same case with Knuckles' punches.
"What does it take to knock you down?" Knuckles asked angirly.
"What do you want?" Sonic asked, as he still had no idea who in the world this guy was. "Who are you?"
"Give me the Master Emerald pieces!" the black figure suddenly shouted in a threatening manner. Its voice was very dark and deep, almost too deep. Perhaps it wasn't using its real voice.
"Why do you want the Master Emerald?" Knuckles asked. "Seems like an awful lot of trouble to obtain something only I can use!"
The black figure then chuckled deviously. Whoever this was obviously was not a good guy. It seemed to think it knew something Knuckles didn't. "Actually Knuckles, you'd be surprise at what I can actually do!"
"How do you know my name?" Knuckles asked.
The black figure was done talking at that point. It charged for another attack. It then blasted Sonic and Knuckles off their rails and they began to fall.
Luckily, they landed on the structure that was directly below them. The black figure was rushing towards them though to get those Master Emerald pieces.
It started to try to fight Knckles but Knuckles was doing his best to defend himself against the melee punches and kicks.
"Knuckles!" Sonic said. Sonic was about to go and help Knuckles, until he noticed a very interesting gem was to his right. It was none other than the Chaos Emerald! Sonic picked it up and shouted, "Yes!"
"What?" Knuckles asked.
"I found the emerald!" Sonic shouted in victory.
"Oh good, now why don't you HELP ME HERE ALREADY?!"
Sonic almost forgot. He was about to go help out Knuckles, until his communicator from GUN was ringing. He looked at the gadget on his wrist and saw that the Commander wanted to have a nice little chat.
"Not a good time Commander!" Sonic said annoyed.
"This is important," the Commander said. "Ever wonder why Rouge went and escaped with Shadow and that robot back on that fleet?"
"You mean it wasn't just Rouge being Rouge?"
The commander shook his head. "Rouge had a device and somehow was able to extract info from Eggman's computer and has found basically everything we need to know."
Sonic was suddenly very intriguied. "Go on."
"First off, Rouge is in the Space Colony Ark. That's where Eggman is hiding off. Second off, do NOT let Shadow or the robot get the Chaos Emeralds."
"What is he planning to do with them?"
The Commander sighed. It became clear to Sonic what Eggman's plans were weren't very good. Sonic waited for his answer.

Shadow
Not too far from Sonic were another hedgehog and a robot walking towards that Chaos Emerald. Shadow had used a Chaos Emerald to Chaos Control themselves towards there. Plus, it was extra power against Sonic.
Shadow and Omega had been silent the entire trip so far. It was obvious Omega didn't want to expand on what he had told Shadow previously. But Shadow just needed to know more, he had to try. What Omega did was basically drop a grenade on his mind, and he had to at least help him remove it.
"Omega?" Shadow asked.
Omega just kept facing forward, pretending to not have heard what Shadow said.
"Can you explain more of what you told me a few hours ago?" Shadow asked.
Omega suddenly looked over at Shadow, both of them still continuing to walk towards the location of the Chaos Emerald. "Shadow, I'm not even sure why I told you that. It was a miscalculation on my part."
Shadow focused on the world miscalculation. Just what did Omega mean by that word? "What do you mean Omega?"
Omega took some time before he spit out an answer. It was obvious to Shadow that he was thinking of the right thing to say. "My systems were not fully recovered when I made that statement. There is nothing to worry about Shadow."
Shadow found Omega's response a bit surprising. But it would make sense. Omega was a robot at the end of the day, a bug was not out of the ordinary in his body. Still, what Omega told him didn't seem very random at all. "Are you sure?" Shadow asked.
Omega quickly said, "Yes, I am sure. Our master is on your side, you are doing the right thing."
Half of Shadow thought that Omega's explanation seemed believable enough. But the other half wasn't really buying what Omega was saying at all either. The face that Omega said that of all things was just too suspicious. "Are you telling me the truth Omega?"
Omega was actually getting a little annoyed, as it showed through his voice. "I am telling the truth Shadow, we are allies afterall."
Shadow was getting annoyed as well. If anything, he still felt like he was being lied to. He felt like he was out of the loop. "Well first, saying something like that to me when your systems were still recoring doesn't seem so random to me. And you haven't even told me what those androids mean yet. Yes, I feel like you two are keeping something from me."
At that moment, Shadow and Omega ceased walking. Tension was obviously only getting higher. It was time to set things straight. "What I confessed about this morning is true, you can be sure about that. And you know, I can always tell Eggman what you did for Rouge. I still remember that you know."
Shadow froze up at that point. He forgot that Omega saw him betray the doctor. He certainly was not in the mood for Eggman to find out. He decided to zip up his mouth.
"You should know what the androids are about if we're being honest however," Omega said. "Eggman made them for his army. They are not as powerful as you, but are powerful in their own right. They're just more of his robots."
Shadow should've known that was all it was. He was the ultimate life form afterall. Why wouldn't Eggman want to make robots like that? "I guess you're right," Shadow said.
Suddenly, the two looked foward and saw a blue hedgehog and a red echidna fighting some black figure. Shadow knew the emeralds were right there. He quickly moved forward, with Omega right behind him.

Amy
Not too far from where the hedgehogs would collide, Amy Rose and her little group of adventurers arrived at Rail Canyon at last. It had been a pretty awkward trip, with Amy refusing to be examined and all.
Amy was sure she'd find that emerald, then eventually be able to bring that Eggman down. She jumped on a rail, and began grinding deep into the canyons. Everyone else followed. Big didn't exactly love grinding though, as he was a bit big for the rails. Nonetheless, he managed.
Amy just decided to stop thinking about what happened. Put her focus on other things and try to live a little. See, that wasn't so hard. She already felt relieved. She began to think about Sonic and already felt better.
Speaking of Sonic though, weren't he and Tails supposed to be working together? Amy had been so wrapped up in her own troubles, she hadn't realized how strange it was seeing Tails not with the blue guy. Tails was grinding right next to Amy, looking very focused on snatching that emerald.
"Hey Tails, do you know what Sonic is up to?" Amy asked out of the blue.
Tails' face looked a bit surprised. He obviously wasn't expecting such a question. Nonetheless, he was about to answer. "Who knows," Tails said quietly.
Amy suddenly felt a little worried. Perhaps something was wrong with Sonic. "Oh my god, is he okay Tails?" Amy asked sounding worried.
"He's fine," Tails said sternly. "Well, I'm sure he is on the outside. I don't know about his mind though."
Amy was very intriguied by the comment from Tails. She wanted to know more. "Is something going on between you and Sonic? I thought you two were supposed to be working together on getting Eggman."
Tails faced Amy with what seemed to be an annoyed expression. Amy gulped, wondering what was coming up next. "Look Amy, if you don't want to get yourself examined, then don't talk to me about Sonic."
And with that, Tails grinded ahead to lead the way, leaving Amy a bit shocked and hurt that Tails was all of a sudden so mad. Just what was going on between those two anyway? Tails was rushing ahead of her, so he obviously was not going to answer.
"Hey guys, look!" Tails shouted pointing ahead.
Everyone else looked as far as they could. What they all saw was simple. Two hedgehogs, an echidna, a robot, and some black thing on this piece of land. Some of these people looked very familiar.
The black colored hedgehog attacked the blue hedgehog. It was no doubt yet another Sonic and Shadow fight.
"Give me your Chaos Emeralds!" Shadow said angirly.
"No cheap jokes this time around eh Shadow old buddy?" Sonic asked not sounding very surprised. "Sorry Knuckles, I have a black hedgehog I have to send back to space."
But before Sonic had a chance to even think, Shadow punched Sonic was in the face. Shadow was then charging up a Chaos Spear to temporarily stun Sonic.
"Wow Shadow, you don't waste time!" Sonic said trying to get up.
"I'm not here to fight you, but I will get those emeralds no matter what it takes!" Shado wshouted.
Suddenly though, Amy tacked into Shadow after getting off the rails, cancelling that dreaded Chaos Spear. All of her friends were right behind her ready to battle. Well, except Big. He wasn't much of a fighter. "No way you're hurting Sonic when I'm around Shadow!" Amy declared.

Silver
Sitting in jail gave Silver alot of time to think. Espio's words really struck him. After knowing all that, Espio was STILL on his side? He should've known that the Warrior Order are loyal to the bitter end in this timeline as well.
But, look at what he did! He stole a priceless gem for just a couple of bucks. He did it because he'd be stealing in his own time if he didn't....so either way, he was doomed to steal.
His intentions were always to save the world though. So why was it always so hard for himt o actually do that? Why is it so hard to just do good things for once?
Silver felt like he had enough chances to look good to the public. Why is it so much harder for him to be the hero unlike others? Like that blue hedgehog. He was so respected, and he was having fun fighting that dictator! It was ridiculous how the world worked so much.
Silver just wished he had one more oppurtunity to prove he really was a good guy.Show himself actually getting his mission done. It was already too late though. He was behind bars.
....or was it? A crazy idea just popped into Silver's head. A way to prove to all of them that he was a true hero, and not a villian that needs to be locked up.
But, he had to resort to drastic measures, why may only make him look more like the enermy were he to do this. But, he just couldn't sit here and do absolutely nothing. A madman was on the loose, and he has to stop him now.
So that was when Silver made his decision. He concentrated on his hands carefully. And in five seconds, the handcuffs broke and fell to the ground. Silver then stood up and concentrated on the cell bars in front of him. They slowly formed a hole, which Silver then stepped through.
The alarms hadn't sounded yet, so this meant no one's noticed he's broken out. He didn't want this escape to be too noisy. He began to slowly make his way to an exit.
By the way, where IS the exit anyway? Silver wasn't finding anything and it was annoying him to the limit. Front door was a no go. At least a window or something would be good for Silver right now.
"Hey! You!"
Silver turned around and saw that it was the soldier that had questioned him earlier. He was holding up a gun, ready to shoot. "You get back in your cell or you're dead," the soldier said.
Silver luckily didn't have anything to worry about. He used his powers and took the gun out of the soldier's hands, and threw it far away.Silver then grabbed a hold of soldier, as both of their bodies glowed green.
"People like you make me sick," the soldier said. "Always out for themselves. Not giving a crap about anyone else!"
Silver looked at the soldier very seriously. He would've felt guilt, but he knew that his ultimate goal made this okay. "Trust me, the reason I'm breaking out is for a reason that has nothing to do with my self."
Silver then suddenly concentrated on the wall as hard as he could. In just a few seconds, Silver took a piece of the wall out, and a big hole appeared to the outside, which was under an orange sky.
Silver let go of his control ont he soldier. He then flew out of the jail as fast as he could, trying to get to Rail Canyon and stop Eggman for good.

Sonic/Shadow/Amy/Silver
It was close to night time as the sky of Rail Canyon only grew darker. Silver was close to the canyons, flying at his highest of speeds. He had to get that Chaos Emerald, no matter what it takes.
He looked below and saw all these people on a large structure. Sonic, Knuckles, that black figure, Amy, Cream, Big, their pets, Shadow, and that robot. They were all down there. Thankfully, there wasn't a crocodile in sight.
He could sense FOUR Chaos Emeralds in this area! Silver knew this was his chance to gain an upper hand on Shadow. Silver began to charge towards Shadow, to knock the emeralds out of him with a deadly attack.
Silver was going so fast, but Shadow was still in sight as he got closer and closer. But when he was close to colliding with the hedgehog, Sonic and Tails had landed on top of Shadow after being thrown there by Omega. Silver realized that hitting them wasn't something he wanted to do. He began to panic.
"Gah!" Silver shouted. "Sonic! Tails! Get away!"
Sonic looked up and saw Silver rushing towards them. He began to panic as well, along with Tails and Shadow. "Silver?!"
Silver tried to stop but couldn't. He braced himself for collision as he, Sonic, Tails, and Shadow screamed for their lives. The collision rocked the entire structure, and everyone paused fighting.
Four Chaos Emeralds had suddenly moved to the center of the structure. When Silver crashed, it caused Sonic, Tails, and Shadow to drop their emeralds.
Without even waiting a second, Omega snatched the emeralds as quickly as his engines allowed him to, and began to fly up towards the Space Colony Ark on his jets. Who knew Omega could fly like that?
"No!" Amy cried in worry. "The emeralds!"
"What do we do now?" Cream asked sounding worried.
"Ugh," Sonic groaned. "Silver, why did you do that?!" Sonic was obviously mad, as Eggman had been able to collect all seven of the Chaos Emeralds.
"I'm sorry," Silver said. He really hated himself at the moment. He couldn't believe he had messed things up AGAIN. What an awful hero.
"This isn't good," Sonic said. "I know what Eggman is going to do. And believe me, when he gets those emeralds, we're doomed!"
Everyone just stood there in shock. Sonic never gets this mad. Absolutely never. Whatever GUN told him must've been pretty serious.
Sonic turned to Shadow, who was just looking up into the sky. "And you Shadow," Sonic began. "What's going on with you? Why are you siding with Eggman? Especially knowing what Eggman is going to do with those emeralds! Didn't saving the world teach you anything?!"
"I don't know what he is planning, he hasn't told me," Shadow replied, knowing that that made Eggman look really bad. "And I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about! I can't remember anything idiot!"
"Let's refresh your memory then Shadow," Amy said, stepping in. "Whatever Eggman is telling you is nothing but lies. He only wants you on his side because he wants to use you to take over the world! Please Shadow, there's a reason you saved me back at the Mystic Ruins! You have to at least recognize me!"
Shadow come down to his knees as his hands grabbed a hold of his head. So much was just going through his head, he didn't know who to believe, what to think. Sonic, Amy, and Silver approached Shadow to see if he was okay, while everyone else just stared.
Suddenly, everyone heard a strange sound above them. It sounded like something was charging up. Everyone looked up, including Shadow. They could see a bright light coming from the Ark.
"Oh no, is that the Eclipse Cannon?!" Amy asked in terror.
"It's worst," Sonic said. "And there's nothing we can do."
Everyone watched the Ark in terror as it continued to ready itself for an attack. Nowhere to hide at this point, as the cannon shot straight at them. The blast had this purple color to it. Didn't matter though, as the blast would soon collide with Earth.
It smashes into the structure, and a white light engulfs the entire environment. The result of such a devastating attack would be revealed, when the white light fades...

Conclusion
What will become of our heroes after the effects of the blast are revealed? Will they survive? What is Eggman planning? Will they be able to finally stop him and get to the bottom of his plans? All this on the next episode of Desperate Hedgehogs!
